The training course aims to raise awareness and expertise on this ancient craftmanship to all those people who want to increase their skills on the subject of building and working wooden boats potential future shipwrights and enthusiasts in the field. 


The training plan includes 5 modules:

1) Historical and economic background of the boats

2) The construction materials

3) From technique to practice withthe wooden boat restoration part

4) New technologies(technical & tecnological skills)

5) Communicating and living the tradition

The Training course for Shipwrights is promoted by the Municipality of Monfalcone partner of the FRAMESPORT INTERREG ITALY-CROATIA project which is performing coordinated initiatives for an integrated and sustainable development of small ports in a strategic perspective thus allowing them to be pro-active socio-economic drivers of the development in the Adriatic coasts.

The cross-border pilot action will be performed in Monfalcone in strength collaboration with Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico of Pordenone and Alto Adriatico Custom of Monfalcone.
